Challenge II was designed to the I.O.R. Rule but also to rate well under the C.C.A. Rule. She was designed for racing but with occasional cruising in mind.
The boat was constructed of aluminum by Paul Luke of East Boothbay, Maine. She was launched in 1970.
Here are the plans. Please note the forepeak which as drawn is set up for sail stowage but anticipates future conversion into a stateroom.
