Design 1922 Elan

One of 18 boats built by Carlini of Italy (you can find other Carlini boats posted on this blog). Elan is a one tonner combining separate rudder and keel plus trim tab. This configuration greatly improved downwind performance and control while not hampering upwind ability. Launched in 1968 she was an early boat using rod rigging.
