Design 642 Courageous


This design is an interesting study. There is absolutely no knuckle at the intersection of the forward overhang and the waterline. I have to believe this is a result of tank testing but in any event its somewhat unusual in a cruising boat from this office. This is very much like a meter boat of the period, along with the very narrow beam.

Courageous was built by Henry B. Nevins of City Island and launched in 1946.
